The Danish Gambling Authority has become the country’s main port of call for stopping match fixing.

Spillemyndigheden

Spillemyndigheden says the secretariat of the national platform for combatting match-fixing from Anti-Doping Denmark will be moved to the regulator.

The Danish Gambling Authority will also be responsible for StopMatchFixing, where anyone can report suspected match fixing.

The transition means the regulator will be tasked with analysing information about suspicious sports bets, while informing national and international authorities and organisations of possible violations.

Anders Dorph, director of the Danish Gambling Authority, said: "It's a very important task and a big responsibility that I'm glad we've been given.

“Since we will be getting data on betting on events across operators licensed in Denmark, it makes perfect sense that we are also the ones with the coordinating and unifying function.”
