In time for the start of the new football season, the Isle of Man Government's department of economic development has announced the launch of online football gaming platform Goaldash.
Granted a licence earlier this year by the Isle of Man Government’s Gambling Supervision Commission, Goaldash offers players the chance to win up to £1m by choosing teams from across the English and Scottish leagues and predicting the fastest goals.
"This is a site for anyone who likes football and has enjoyed the thrill of placing a bet, be it on the lottery or elsewhere," commented Jeremy Bourke, Goaldash CEO.
"Later this year we will also be introducing a basket of games that extends the Goaldash quickest goals game and enables us to engage with customers throughout the week. We anticipate steady growth for the rest of 2011 with accelerated growth in the new year when our newspaper and TV partnerships begin," he added.
Garth Kimber, head of egaming development at the Isle of Man government’s department of economic development, commented: "This is an innovative company with an exciting future ahead of it. Eventually Goaldash is hoping to attract players from around the world which, given the global footprint of UK football, we feel confident it will succeed in.
"The industry on the Isle of Man continues to grow at a fast pace and this growth is testimony not only to the drive of the government in helping new businesses to thrive but also to the robust regulatory framework we have in place."
