Bettors in Colorado continued to grow the state’s sports betting presence in October, according to the latest statistics.

The Colorado Divison of Gaming says October saw the second-highest number of total wagers in a month since legalisation in May 2020.
The total handle for the month was $526.6m, a 17 per cent increase on the $450.2m posted in September.
January 2021 was Colorado’s most lucrative month for sports betting so far, the figure totalling $573.7m.
Taxes from sports betting wagers decreased in Colorado in October, down 22 per cent to $2.3m.
American football was once again the top driver for sports betting in Colorado, with wagers totalling $171.6m.
Basketball, NCAA football and baseball followed as the other popular sports for the state.
