Online gambling is coming to Chile’s 14 casinos. They are being permitted internet gambling as part of their gaming offer, says newspaper La Nación.
The additional revenues from taxation will go towards the country’s bid to balance its books after the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic, says the newspaper.
But it comes at a price as the country plans to raise its gaming tax from 20 per cent to 25 per cent. Another positive is that licenses would then be automatically renewed when the process comes up in 2021.
