Employees at Geonomics, creator of interactive game GeoSweep, marked the start of the company’s partnership with blood cancer charity The Anthony Nolan Trust with a Spit Day; in which staff joined the charity’s 470,000-strong bone marrow register to match donors with those needing a transplant.

Throughout the Spit Day, Geonomics staff learned about the need for more bone marrow donors and the process of donation, and many of the staff joined the bone marrow register by providing saliva samples.
The partnership sees staff at the interactive lottery game provider, which hopes to raise £5,000, undertaking a range of fundraising activities including weekends away, a Snowdon trek and Geonomics’ own beer festival – Geoberfest.
Nicky Read, head of corporate partnerships at Anthony Nolan, said: “We are delighted that the staff at Geonomics have chosen to support Anthony Nolan as their charity of the year. We have been overwhelmed by the effort and passion shown by staff so far and look forward to the events we have planned for our year together.”
Henry Oakes, founder and sales director at Geonomics, added: “It’s great to see everyone in the company getting enthusiastic about the fundraising events in the coming months and we’re already well on our way to reaching our target.
“Anthony Nolan is doing great things and we’re proud to be supporting its work.”
