Camasino, which has produced the world's first webcam poker social network, has been granted an online gaming operating licence by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.
The Camasino network is based on new technology, which is protected through a worldwide copyright and offers the online poker societies a new way to play online poker. It incorporates state of the art graphics, new features in the community section for better understanding of opponents and a seamless stream so that players can speak, read and see their opponent's every move.
The company has chosen to be licensed on the Isle of Man primarily for the security of its players’ deposits through the Island’s strict player protection policy.
The Equiom i-gaming team of Barry Smith and Kerry Tasker have been instrumental in Camasino being granted the licence. Barry Smith, Equiom’s head of i-gaming, said: “Their plans for a major launch in Canada and the UK are imminent, which will once again demonstrate the capability of the Isle of Man as the jurisdiction of choice from which to base a global operation. We look forward to working with Camasino in the future as they continue to develop and launch new concepts.”
