GBI Racing has broken new ground after signing deals with Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) and Danske Spil to show British and Irish racing in Canada and Denmark, respectively.
The deals mean that GBI Racing, which distributes British and Irish racing to betting outlets around the world, is now being broadcast into more than 40 countries.
Distribution of the GBI Racing channel will be widespread in Canada, including races being shown regularly via HPItv (Horse Player Interactive TV), which is shown in more than 135,000 homes.
Peter Spoar, senior manager of WEG's wagering operations, said: ”We wanted to give the country's horse racing fans the opportunity to watch and wager on some of the finest racing in the world.”
Danish punters can now bet into the British and Irish pools in around 220 betting shops, as well as across the internet and on-course.
