Yearham has over 40 years’ experience in gaming and gaming operations and joins WSB at a pivotal time in the emerging South African gaming market.

He was 24 years at Peermont Group in many executive roles, including COO of Emperors Palace and group gaming executive. Earlier this year he was granted the title of honorary consulate general of Monaco for South Africa.

Yearham told Gaming for Africa: “The pandemic of the last 20 months or so has levelled the playing field in the gaming market with the lockdowns. It has in my opinion, changed habits in people drastically.

"For example, work times, holiday times, relaxation and leisure times, have all changed dramatically. And only now, in the past few weeks as we see some normality, are we seeing new trends and the new normal.

“The online industry is in a perfect position to capitalise on the new habits of our players, who prior to the pandemic outbreak, would not have thought of playing online.”
