Betway has partnered with the Professional Players Federation, the organisation that promotes and protects the interests of professional sportspeople in the UK.

The deal sees the online bookmaker contribute to sports betting integrity educational initiatives undertaken by the PPF, helping to fund specially trained tutors and customised e-learning programmes related to training on the dangers of match fixing.

Betway CEO Richard Akitt said: “Sport in the UK has a phenomenal record of stamping out match fixing, but we are all aware of the dangers and temptations that young professional sportspeople face.

“We are therefore delighted to partner with the PPF and look forward to supporting the vital work they carry out for many years to come.”
