Total gaming spend in Denmark increased 37 per cent in June to DKK703m (£81m), driven by a marked increase in betting spend.

Betting accounted for DKK271m (£31.2m) of the total outlay in June, up from DKK154m (£17.8m) in June 2023, with the total figure up from the June 2023 figure of DKK513m (£59.1m).
However, online casino remained the most popular vertical among players in Denmark in the latest reporting period, generating spend of DKK303m (£34.9m), up from DKK238m (£27.4m) in June 2023.
The total gambling spend in Denmark also rose month-on-month from DKK571m (£65.8m) in May.
Online casino spend jumped from DKK278m (£32.1m) with betting spend rising from DKK164m (£18.9m) to the latest June figures in both respects.
In the land-based sector, gaming machines generated spend of DKK97m (£11.2m) in June, with land-based casino following behind with spend of DKK32m (£3.7m).
