The MENTOR player protection tool is based on the most recent findings from research on gambling addiction, using appealing graphics to illustrate player behaviour.

Win2day developed the software in cooperation with Dr Mark Griffiths, professor for gambling studies at Nottingham Trent University and director of the International Gaming Research Unit.

Griffiths said: "MENTOR is a highly innovative, intelligent software tool for player protection that allows players to counteract problematic gambling behaviour."

Friedrich Stickler, member of the Managing Board of Austrian Lotteries, added: "We are proud to have developed this software tool and we are proud that win2day is the first online gaming provider to actually employ such a tool.

“We are setting new standards and are thereby able to prove that we take player protection very seriously."
