Betsson Group has launched its flagship brand in Italy.

Betsson.it will provide sports betting featuring markets from several sports alongside slots, live casino and table games.

Chief commercial officer of the operator group, Ronni Hartvig, said the Italian market has “grown significantly in importance” for Betsson.

The company has operated its StarCasinò brand in the country for over a decade, and the brand will continue to operate alongside Betsson.

He added that “consolidating our operations under the unified Betsson brand” is aimed at harnessing “the power of scalability” for the group.

StarCasino.Sport supports various clubs in Italy including SSC Napoli, Roma and Palermo.

As reported by Yogonet and other media sources, Betsson has purportedly struck a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Inter, who are looking to win back-to-back Serie A titles having also reached the Champions League final last season.

The deal is reportedly set to bring in US$32.6m per season, spanning the next five years.

Betsson has also recently made a push for Latin American growth by partnering with teams such as Colombia’s Atlético Nacional.
