Betgenius has just announced the acquisition of user experience and front-end specialist Boolabus.

Founded in 2008, the Boolabus team of designers and developers has produced a suite of products that increase bookmaker revenues by enhancing the user experience through multi-platform user interfaces. Its flagship Betstream products offer bookmakers an easy to integrate content-rich experience that increases customer engagement and betting turnover.

"Betstream will be a valued addition to our portfolio of products allowing us to provide our client base with a turnkey end-to-end solution for their betting needs," commented Betgenius CEO Mark Locke.

Boolabus is best known for its leading work in live betting application development, delivering realtime commentary, statistics and bet suggestions based on live pricing data for key sportsbooks, including Skybet, Totesport, Betfred and Sportingbet.

Brian MacSweeney, founder and managing director of Boolabus, has joined Betgenius as a director with a focus on the user experience. In this role he will focus on the development of user-focused products across the wider business and head up a newly formed team to deliver this.

MacSweeney said: "Boolabus has always been focused on making the user experience engaging, real-time and measurable and this acquisition will enable us to accelerate the development of our multi-platform content driven products that are so in demand within the industry. It’s an exciting and interesting time for sports betting and it’s great to be part of a company that is leading the field in so many areas."
