Betfair has named Alexander Gersh as its new chief financial officer, a role he’ll take on from Monday, December 3, 2012.
Gersh, who was head of finance at the US digital TV firm NDS Group for seven years, succeeds Stephen Morana who announced in September that he would be stepping down. Betfair has said Morana will continue to be available over the next few months to smooth Gersh’s transition into the new role.
Chief executive officer Breon Corcoran welcomed Gersh to Betfair, saying: "Alex has extensive and valuable experience of working in highly competitive international businesses and a proven track record of delivering results.”
Gersh said: "Betfair is at an exciting and important stage of its development and I look forward to contributing to the future success of the business.”
