Malta’s annual i-gaming summit, SiGMA, which takes place on November 16-19 at the Mediterranean island’s InterContinental Arena in St Julian’s, has gone from strength to strength since its 2014 launch.

All hands on deck for SiGMA

Eman Pulis, managing director at SiGMA, told iNTERGAMINGi: “The show has gone global! From a little expo dominated by Malta-based companies, SiGMA has this year become a multi-national show with the likes of Golden Race, Marathon Bet, Trustly, NMi, Pragmatic Play, Ganapati, Betradar, GLI, Aliquantum, Paysafe, W2Global, Pegasus Gaming and others gracing the floor plan.

“These brands have little or no operational presence in Malta, yet believed in having a solid presence at the show.”

The SiGMA floor at the InterContinental Arena has been sold out since April, giving Pulis and his team a platform to build throughout the year. The result is what the managing director calls “a truly 360-degree showcase.”

“Wining and dining goes a long way in this industry so we have treated sponsors, exhibitors and top C-level executives to a string of lavish dinners throughout the year,” added Pulis.

Pulis and SiGMA co-founder Dennis Dyhr Hansen have also worked hand in hand with the Maltese government, the regulator (MGA), Gaming Malta and GamCrowd to create a start-up pitch on Maltese shores for the first time, with seasoned investors and vibrant start-ups meeting in a Dragon’s Den-like environment.

In addition, on day two, between 2pm and 6pm, SiGMA becomes a careers convention, throwing open its doors to graduates of the University of Malta, MCAST and various private institutions, that have been invited to attended.

Pulis: “The expo floor and conferences take place on the November 17 and 18 – but with so many networking events taking place on the 16th and 19th, we encourage visitors to fly in early.

“The BiG Foundation Dinner, a networking poker tournament, networking drinks and a welcome party - to name a few activities – are all taking place on the 16th. In addition, in an unprecedented move, SiGMA has secured 300 booked flights for affiliates, most of which will be flying in on the 16th or earlier.”

This promises to be the biggest SiGMA yet, with 100 speakers, 150 sponsors/exhibitors and 3,000 attendees.

Pulis concluded: “The organisers look forward to welcoming you at this show, in the heart of the i-gaming industry, and we have little doubt that everyone will walk out a winner.”
