Online gaming company 888 reports that its average daily revenue in the year to date has been 34 per cent higher than last year. The company said that it reflects an increasing customer base that was becoming evident in the second half of last year.

Its board is now forecasting an adjusted EBITDA for 2020 considerably higher than expectations. But it also expects some "headwinds" in the second half, based upon global macro-economic uncertainty that might hit discretionary spending.
Said CEO Itai Pazner: “We have delivered a particularly encouraging performance in poker which reflects the strength of our product and on-going focus on providing a safe and entertaining destination for r3ecreational poker players. Sport has been impacted during the year by the cancellation of events, but we have seen a better than expected customer reaction to the gradual return of sports events during recent weeks and during June3 so far, our sport revenue run-rate has been ahead of June 2019.”
