The winds of change swept through Isle of Man-based Microgaming this summer, with John Coleman ascending to CEO as part of a planned restructure, replacing Roger Raatgever. INTERGAMINGi sat down with the head honcho to find out how he sees the future for the igaming software giant

INTERGAMINGi: Congratulations on your new role! How did it transpire that you were to take the CEO job?

John Coleman: “The restructure was planned some time ago, and I’ve played a leading role in managing the business for the past 14 years, so this is far from new territory for me. But of course, I am immensely excited and proud to be leading Microgaming. It’s an honour to be CEO.”

Upon the official announcement of your appointment as CEO, you mentioned this as a “momentous” time for the business, with exciting new opportunities ahead. Could you expand on this? “Microgaming is moving forward with new direction and leadership. As you will note from our recent communications, we are in the process of changing our operational structure, with the creation of new teams and senior management positions across the business.
