With the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States having taken charge of the industry in Germany, ZEAL Instant Games’ managing director, Julian Tietz, reveals plans to maximise reach in a changing landscape.

The Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder ushered in a new era for German gambling as 2022 gave way to 2023. From January 1, the GGL assumed full responsibility for all activity in the country from its headquarters in Halle in Saxony-Anhalt. And for Germany-based lottery company ZEAL, there are a number of key opportunities on the horizon.

“As a reputable lottery provider, we are happy about the new regulations and the introduction of the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States,” Tietz tells iNTERGAMINGi. “This means that in the future, one authority will set clear guidelines for how lotteries and instant games are regulated nationwide, which will make lottery play clearer and easier not only for players, but also for providers.
