THE origins of AgeChecked lies in the UK government’s 2015 manifesto pledge to bring in child protection measures on adult content websites. The company created a solution to meet the regulatory and market requirements for a low cost, light touch, high match rate age verification.

When the Gambling Commission later brought in changes to the LCCP requiring age verification for free-play games in the UK, its solution appeared to be a bit a good fit, so the company entered the gambling sector.
