iNTERGAMINGi looks ahead to the third iGaming Super Show

I-gaming super show I-gaming super show

Background

The iGaming Super Show aims to bring the online gaming industry together with two distinctive zones, ensuring the main sectors of the industry are represented. Held at the Royal Dublin Society in Dublin, Ireland, May 22-25, the event covers a number of high-level industry topics such as trends, business and regulation in i-gaming and online marketing and acquisition strategies.

The event is now in its third year, with its inaugural event being held in Prague. “We moved the event to Dublin last year as logistically the city was better able to cater for us - larger, high-tech venue close to the city - and generally Dublin is a great centre for many online companies, with the likes of Facebook, Google, IBM, Pocket Kings, BetDAQ, Paddy Power, Gala Networks, Betfair, FinSpreads, SportingBet and Moneybookers all based in the city. Equally it’s an easy destination to reach globally,” said Märit von Stedingk from iGaming Business.

Free to attend for all delegates, the show attracted 2,624 in 2011, with more expected this year. “Last year we had just over 70 exhibitors and with 60 per cent of the floor space booked already, we are on our way to reach that number this year,” said Stedingk.

What to expect

The event will take a global look at the online gambling market, with many high level speakers already confirmed. Looking primarily at the US and European marketplace, the conference will concentrate on newly regulated markets, the latest opportunities and financial analysis of each sector.

Notable sessions include a look at the after effects of a regulated Spain, an insider look by the manager of the Danish Gaming Authority into the newly opened Danish market, as well as an in-depth analysis of the challenges presented by the regulating European marketplace on i-gaming businesses, assessing business risk, licensing, operation, supply and whether the single market approach is the long-term solution.

Speakers such as the CEO of Virgin Games, the head of online gambling operations at WMS and the managing director (i-gaming interest) of Deutsche Bank will all give their professional opinions on their specialist subjects. A special focus will also be given to the US, with two sessions giving an overview of the market and where any opportunities exist.

Victor Chandler

Victor Chandler will be exhibiting at the show as Bet Victor, which is the new brand name from the company. It will be showcasing its sports, casino, poker and games and mobile products, as well as new offers and specials for its affiliates to promote.

“We have decided to exhibit as we want to get the new brand name in front of as many people as possible. Also, these shows are a great way to meet with both new and existing affiliates and are always great for generating new business,” said Sarah Caskie, Bet Victor affiliate co-ordinator.

“I am most looking forward to meeting with affiliates both old and new and building on exitsting relationships with our partners,” she added.

We want to make a splash with the launch of our new brand and there is no better place to do it than the iGaming Super Show,” he added.
