Odobo is not a developer and it is not an operator – yet it is friend to both. INTERGAMINGi talks to three of the company’s developer clients to find out more.

Odobo

ONE of the challenges of having a new model, or at least bringing a new model to an existing market, is communicating how that model works and explaining the benefits it offers.

Odobo is the industry’s first HTML5 Developer Program and Marketplace for real-money gaming. It connects content suppliers (game studios) with distributors (regulated online casino and lottery operators) via its Marketplace – an app store, of sorts – a focal point for developers to promote their games that also changes how operators can browse and deploy games to their players.

The Odobo Developer Program is designed to stimulate innovation in real-money gaming while assuring a high standard of fully regulated and compliant games. Odobo claims to support developers throughout the game production process with a range of advanced technologies and services. These include concept evaluation, game engine configuration, mathematical verification and state-of-the-art development tools like the Odobo Game Development Kit, as well as a range of compliance and business development services.

The Marketplace, once integrated, provides the flow of new content to operators from a growing number of development studios worldwide. With one-click configurations and deployments that don’t require downtime, operators can offer new content to their audiences quickly and with minimal risk.

Through Odobo Play, the consumer-facing version of the Marketplace, operators also benefit from a growing pool of marketing-savvy development studios whose experience in the social and casual gaming sectors means that loyal audiences accompany their games. This could be a powerful acquisition tool for operators while bolstering developer royalty income through promotion commissions.
