In an attempt to revamp its online business, Ladbrokes has begun discussions with Irish betting exchange operator Betdaq.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson confirmed that it is in talks with Betdaq about technology supply to overhaul its online operation, but denied that the UK bookmaker might be interested in buying the company, which is owned by Irish billionaire Dermot Desmond.

Since Richard Glynn took over as CEO of Ladbrokes in April 2010, the company has aborted acquisition talks with Sportingbet, 888 and centrebet, as well as shown interest in Playtech.
