PayPoint.net will be providing the payment platform for the first ever integrated fantasy football and sports betting service.

In conjunction with the Metro newspaper, FSB Technology will handle hundreds of thousands of transactions through its gaming wallet over the 2011/2012 season, which will be processed by PayPoint.net.

A provider of integrated fantasy sports and sports betting solutions for media companies, FSB has developed an innovative system which means that fantasy football fans can, for the first time, place bets on players or teams for the weekend’s games while managing their fantasy team.

The company was impressed with PayPoint.net’s quick integration process as well as the resilience of the solution, the capacity to handle transaction spikes and the ability to adapt to future requirements.

Dave McDowell, CEO and co-founder of FSB Technology, said: "Since we believe that 20-30 per cent of fantasy football players are already sports punters, we have created a unique fantasy football system through which the two can be incorporated into one monetised experience. Fantasy sports are great for customer acquisition and retention, but the sportsbook provides the revenue generation."

Michael Norton from PayPoint.net added: "This is the first time that a gaming wallet has ever been introduced into a fantasy football experience and as such, we are excited to help expand the business and make it a success. We believe it is important that FSB Technology is free to focus on the core of its business while PayPoint.net looks after the payments and ensures all aspects of the transactions process run smoothly."
