Welsh outdoor adventure brand Zip World has submitted plans to build a new major attraction on its Penrhyn Quarry site in the UK.

Documents submitted to the local council outline the plans for a new swing at the outdoor entertainment venue that opened in 2013.

The new swing would be the fifth attraction at the site which includes Quarry Karts, Aero Explorer, Quarry Flyer and Velocity, alongside the tour of the Quarry.

A decline in visitors from 2023-2024 prompted the brand to evolve its site to potentially include the new attraction.

The proposed plans would see guests secured into the apparatus and moved horizontally to the starting location before swinging back and forth around the pivot point.

Zip World’s newest ride would be able accommodate 12 rides an hour with each ride expected to last around two minutes.
