The location is owned by Carlos Quiroz, who first experienced Zero Latency in Madrid, Spain, and wanted to open his own venue. He said: “We’re three IT professionals who are truly passionate about technology and video games. We had the chance to experience Zero Latency in Madrid and were really impressed by the product and its possibilities.

“We saw a great opportunity in the Dominican Republic. We’re excited about the potential to grow and bring Zero Latency to even more countries across Latin America in the future.”

Zero Latency VR features a free-roam arena with wireless headsets, allowing players to immerse themselves in games such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine VR, Far Cry VR and Outbreak. Experiences last up to 45 minutes and can accommodate up to eight players at a time.

The company now has locations in 26 locations across the world, including the US, UAE and Australia.
