Arcade Archive brings an array of authentic artefacts from the history of arcade gaming to the Gloucestershire town of Stroud.

Stroud

The exhibition was created by Alex Crowley, with work beginning in early August of this year.

The Stroud News and Journal states that Arcade Archive is set within a Grade II-listed mill. Though the new venue already boasts over 40 classic cabinets, such as Donkey Kong, Bubble Bobble and Star Wars, many more are due to be installed over time.

The top floor of the space continues to be occupied by a retro-computing museum, run by fellow YouTuber Neil Thomas of the channel The Cave.

Along with electronics designer Richard Horne, who helped to repair and refine many of Arcade Archive's cabinets and technology, Alex and Neil founded the Retro Collective, whose aim is to preserve and promote electronics, gaming and entertainment to share it with the public.
