Work on a zipline at a world-renowned beauty spot in Brazil has been suspended by a judge.

The attraction, on the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, began construction in September 2022, but has been met with protests from locals.
Now, a judge in Brazil has ordered that work be halted after it was discovered that works had started before being authorised by the Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage.
Developers are now stopped from cutting or drilling the rocks, as well as constructing any new elements of the attraction.
The attraction was planned to include four ziplines that would connect Sugarloaf Mountain and nearby Urca Hill in a 176m descent. The lines measured 755m and riders would reach 60mph on the ride.
An online petition against the works has gathered more than 23,000 signatures.
