A vineyard in Virginia, US, has added entertainment options to attract a wider audience.

AGS Vineyard

Keswick Vineyards, which has panoramic views of the Southwest Mountains, has installed a nine-hole mini-golf from Adventure Golf & Sports (AGS).

Located next to the vineyard’s family-friendly tasting room, the course features wine-themed holes that come with tables at each stop to hold player's glasses.

The first hole is shaped like a wine bottle, while hole four is designed to resemble a corkscrew. Hole number eight is themed to a decanter, while there is also a dog-bone shaped hole that highlights the venue’s dog-friendly attitude.

The course uses AGS’ eco-friendly Modular Advantage System, which features minimal preparatory works and a quick set up. The course is made from a permeable membrane which allows water to drain through easily.

Earlier this month, AGS announced it had designed and built another mini-golf course in Glen Arbor, Michigan, US.

Cindy Schornberg, owner of Keswick Vineyards, said: “Now instead of people just sitting and drinking, they can get up, move and it’s creating an experience, a memory, and that’s what we try to do here.

“Miniature golf serves so many purposes and it gives people something fun to do and it’s gaining popularity.

“What I love is everybody can do it, from a 100-year-old to a one-year-old it really doesn’t matter, and everybody usually has a pretty good time.”
