The awards won by water park developer, WhiteWater, at the World Waterpark Association Show earlier this week, related to major projects undertaken by the company recently. They were the Water World Ocean Park, Hong Kong; Aqua Nick at Nickelodeon Hotel Riviera Maya, Mexico; Wild Rivers in the US; and Baha Bay at Baha Mar, Bahamas.

The Hong Kong project was cited because it demonstrated how a high-class mix of rides could be developed in a tight footprint. Aqua Nick was the biggest theming project ever undertaken by WhiteWater, featuring characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Paw Patrol and TMNT with 11 water slides and other features.

Wild Rivers was reported as the largest water park project in the western US in the past ten years. Baha Bay introduced a new wave, FlowCurl, to fill the gap between FlowRider stationary surf line and the FlowBarrel water ride.
