A story has appeared in the UK’s Daily Telegraph newspaper condemning a 20-year-old kiddie ride as racist.

According to the newspaper, a complaint was made at an arcade in Weston-super-Mare in England about a kiddie ride in which a child sat on a rocking horse and fired a mounted pistol at a screen depicting American Indians.

The arcade at the Grand Pier received complaints and eventually removed the kiddie ride.

The arcade initially responded that it was a “legacy piece.” InterGame investigated further and discovered that the kiddie ride is a very old Cogan model.

Paolo Sidoli of SB Machines in South Wales said that he had supplied the game originally. “It was a Western Shot with a moving electro-mechanical theatre. We supplied it to customers between 2003 and 2005. I am amazed that it is still functioning. Most have been removed from operation due to age."
