Wells-Gardner Electronics and The Software Group have signed a long-term agreement that will see the companies develop 3D products for the gaming, lottery and amusement industry.

The agreement has been described as one of "the most dramatic steps so far" in Wells-Gardner’s strategy of developing proprietary products for its customers and is a move that will allow the company to "enhance its business model to boost both long-term growth and profitability," according to chairman and CEO Anthony Spier.

It is anticipated that marketing of the products will begin immediately with revenue expected to being in the second half of 2008.

"We have developed what we believe are the best value 3D products in the market and expect to obtain the leading market share in this space," said Spier. "We also expect to increase our LCD market share as a result of this development."

Wells-Gardner is a distributor and manufacturer of colour video monitors and other related distribution products.
