The Park Avenue Open Day in London last week was "an unqualified success," said UDC’s Mark Horwood.
The sun-soaked day attracted hundreds of visitors to the North London machine distribution mecca that is the combined UDC/Electrocoin open house event.
Horwood’s company had an unprecedented nine new games to show arcade owners, including two of UDC’s own design, the Silver Falls three-player ball drop game with tickets and seats and the Bingo-A-Go-Go, a two/three player bingo game in which dropping balls to pick a number and light up a bingo card dictates wins.
Two Ace Amusements games were introduced: the Air Zone deluxe ice hockey game with video features and Down Range, a single player skill shooter. Both had redemption tickets.
From Elaut Group’s Coast to Coast came the Fun Zone II crane and the Fun Zone mini crane, which was a 24ins model. Also from Coast to Coast was Unlock the Prize, a capsule crane offering a giant toy won by finding the capsule containing the key to the door. Another new Coast to Coast model was the Prize Cube crane.
Finally from Sky came the Pirate Ship kiddie ride, a mini-two-seater with interactive video. It was unusual for UDC to have so many all-new models coming to fruition at the same time, said Horwood.
