The finals of Wahlap’s Esport Championship 2024 were held in Guangzhou, China, earlier this month.
With a theme of “towards a borderless new world,” nearly 100 of the country’s top arcade players gathered at the Guangzhou Comic and Game Expo.
After four days of fierce competition, the champions and runners-up for six categories were crowned. Players competed in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5DX Plus, Maimai DC Girls’ Division, Maimai DX Open Division, Taiko no Tatsujin, Chunithm and Kingdoms Fantasy categories.
This year’s event was the 15th edition, after its launch in 2008, with prize money handed out to the winners.
