Virtuix, creator of the Omni Arena VR esports attraction, has unveiled Blackbeard: The Trials of Skull Island.

In Blackbeard, up to four players work together as pirates to loot treasure, fight villainous foes, and achieve high scores on the leaderboard.

Each game has four distinct rounds, including a co-operative puzzle challenge and a final boss fight, providing players with lots of variety and reasons to play again and again.

Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix, said: “Blackbeard is Omni Arena’s most kid-friendly game to date. It’s also a blast for adults and esports players. We designed the game for high repeat play. It’s easy for everyone to play, but thanks to its variety and depth, it’s hard to master. No two rounds are ever the same.”

Blackbeard will be part of Omni Arena’s weekly and monthly esports tournaments. The top teams on Blackbeard’s global leaderboard will win cash prizes from a $100,000 prize pool.
