As part of the deal, the two companies will broadcast customised content to shops across the whole of Africa, beginning with Nigeria.

Dotun Ajegbile, 1960bet CEO, explained that the company selected Global Bet following “an in-depth and comprehensive evaluation” of a range of virtual sports providers around the world. He described the final choice as a “perfect tailored solution.”

“They’ve delivered our customised games and visions within a record time of only a few weeks, creating a high-end, innovative solution,” he said.

Global Bet CEO Daniel Grabher said that following the launch of the company’s 3D virtual sports platform, it has adjusted its offering to the needs of the African market.

Offering a portfolio comprising virtual sports, pre-recorded races and lottery number games, the company’s launch includes a dozen games, with a new game added every two to three months.

“1960bet is the perfect partner for such an immense operation,” said Grabher. “We’ve known Dotun and his team of professionals for quite a while from our legacy platform operations and can confidently rely on their excellent performance.”

Live operations are starting this month and the roll out across the 5,000 locations is expected by the end of the first quarter of next year.
