Van Egdom, the Netherlands-based water slide design and manufacture company, has begun a major push into the UK market.
As part of the move, the company, which already has offices in the UK, has started to target UK leisure centres and owners of resorts and parks. The focus has been largely on the family entertainment sector, said the company’s Michael Henderson, especially locations that specialise in play for toddlers.
“Outdoor water parks are only popular for half of the year,” he said, “so the companies showing the most interest are the ones looking to extend their season with indoor water play. We have had interest across the spectrum in Europe, from small independent locations to large leisure companies.”
