The world’s largest independent theme park operator, Cedar Fair, based in Ohio, US, has reported a record performance through the first ten months of this year.

The specialist in regional parks saw net revenues hitting a record $843m, up 12 per cent and net income at $333m was significantly up on last year. For the first 10 months, net revenues hit $1.68bn, up 39 per cent.

Attendance in the year to end October was 24.9 million up 43 per cent and in-park per capita spend was $61.72, down just a little, by two per cent. But out-of-park revenues also hit a record at $195m, 28 per cent up.
