There was disappointment this week that speculation that the UK government would give the green light to the proposed Universal Studios theme park at Bedford did not happen as many thought.
A statement from the government told MPs that "talks continue" over the 700-acre development just outside of the South Midlands city.
Local MP Blake Stephenson asked in the House of Commons when a statement would be made and was told by Darren Jones, Treasury minister, that negotiations are ongoing.
