The first roller coaster licensing IP from the Uncharted movie franchise is set to open soon at the PortAventura World amusement park in Spain.
Set to open in mid-2023, Uncharted is a dark ride roller coaster experience created in cooperation with Sony Pictures, where riders will be immersed in a pre-show before embarking on a "dangerous mission" to discover hidden treasure.
The ride will be 700m in length with a surface area of 4,800m.sq, five launches and 1g acceleration.
Direct of development at the park, Luis Valencia, said: "The speed, acceleration and classic turns of roller coasters will be combined with darkness and a host of visual effects that have been designed exclusively for this ride."
Ferrari Land, which opened in late 2022, is the most recent attraction for the park, licensing the legendary Italian sports car brand in a new zone with its own family-friendly rides and play spaces.
