This year's World of Entertainment exhibition, held in Prague, Czech Republic, may have been smaller in terms of floor space, but it was more focused.
All the exhibitors were from the gaming industry, with the main companies including Apex, Jamp, JVH and Errel, Kajot, Auto Games and Comax.
However Novomatic, which has a strong presence in the Czech market, was again not exhibiting following its decision not to support the show last year.
Smaller domestic companies were also present, and there was a strong emphasis on video lottery terminals, a reflection of the market.
If rumours are to be believed, then this year’s show will indeed be the last and would reflect many exhibitors’ view that there is no need for such a small country to have two domestic shows in one year.
It was even suggested by some that one annual show for the Czech Republic and Slovakia would be worthwhile, as the two countries are very similar.
