The IAAPA Europe show got underway yesterday in London, UK, and provided an ideal platform for digital interactive attractions company Triotech to make a major announcement.

The Canadian company is taking part in the SAGA experience, scheduled to open at the beginning of next in Shanghai, China, in a theme park famous across Asia. The Puy du Fou is an historical park, full of immersive experiences and spectacular shows.

A French company Puy du Fou has expanded its operations into Spain, China and the US and its SAGA immersive show project is being built at the centre of historic Shanghai, bringing guests into a 1930s environment.

The site covers over 40,000sq.m and is expected to receive over 3,500 visitors each day, where they will be immersed into a journey through time in a walk-through experience, choosing any one of 26 different routes.

“Puy du Fou is clearly a leader in its segment. It has a unique offering and are quite simply, unparalleled at what it does”, said Ernest Yale, CEO of Triotech.

“Puy du Fou visited our offices in Rennes, France, and we had very creative and fruitful discussions with our respective teams,” said Christophe Lucchini, managing director for Triotech’s CL Corp Division.

“This is our first creation in China, which calls for other projects on which we are actively working with our French and Chinese teams. This new ultra-immersive concept in the heart of the city illustrates our ambition: to innovate and offer new thrills to the world,” said Nicolas de Villiers, President of Puy du Fou.

"Triotech’s European Division CL Corp has been chosen to design and build seven dynamic platforms that will simulate a real size train and other transportation vehicles with numerous special effects and media to transport visitors into the experience. Its proven pneumatic motion technology has already been used in several projects including the motion of a real aircraft for a WWII museum in France. Despite the challenges generated by travel restrictions in China, the Triotech teams were able to deploy the attractions leveraging its staff in that country where they have been active for over a decade.”
