More than 45,000 ‘plays’ have been recorded in the Triotech XD Dark Ride, the interactive theatre developed by the company and located in the Pinballz arcade in Austin, Texas, US.
Triotech, a specialist in media-based attractions, reports that the ride was installed in May of 2017 as an eight-seat dark ride and quickly became popular. A group play and individual scoring system created competition and encouraged repeat visits. Pinballz has now added a new film to its library, the latest Triotech movie Carnival.
“Carnival has enjoyed great success since we launched it last November. In only five months, already more than 77,000 players worldwide have experienced this thrilling adventure. It’s a great addition to Pinballz XD Dark Ride library, especially with the Halloween season coming,” commented Eric Beauregard, vice-president global sales at Triotech. “We’re committed to offering a new movie every year. We will reveal the new one at IAAPA Expo in Orlando in November.“
Pinballz is a major amusement destination with over 200 pinball machines across three locaitons in and around Austin. The one that recorded the high footfall for the Triotech attraction is at Lake Creek.
