A VR esports title is now available on the SpringboardVR marketplace in time for operators to offer the esports tournaments based around the game.
Tower Tag, a virtual reality lasertag game, has been operating for some time across the world and has enjoyed success in recent tournaments, the latest of which offered a prize pot of over €1m and attracted 1.2 million live stream viewers.
On the back of this a new event, a US vs Europe VR Arcade Tower Tag tournament will take place in early November.
The game requires players to strategically move around a map by controlling platforms and moving between them to gain advantages over their opponents. Each platform has a central tower that can be used for cover from incoming fire. Controlling platforms is key to being able to outmanoeuvre and outgun enemies.
Tower Tag will be available on SpringboardVR's Marketplace for free until December 1.
