The Locker Network, a subsidiary of the Helix Leisure Group, recently installed its electronic locker system in Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey, US.

The Locker Network installs in Adventure Aquarium

Adventure Aquarium is the owned by Herschend Family Entertainment, which operates and manages 23 family-oriented amusement parks and attractions across the US, employing 10,000 people. This is the forth HFE site that the company has installed its lockers in, having previously added the technology to Dollywood and Silver Dollar City theme parks and Splash Country water park.

Adventure Aquarium opted for a mix of single and family size lockers to accommodate guests’ storage needs.

Brian Withers, guest services manager for Adventure Aquarium, said: “The Locker Network helped us by turning our lockers from a long-held guest negative into a positive by providing an incredibly user-friendly and convenient product.

“They installed our lockers with almost no downtime in our operating calendar and the results we have seen since have been awesome both from a guest response and fiscal vantage point.”

The site claims to be the only aquarium in the world to exhibit hippos, be one of only six facilities in the US to have little blue penguins as permanent residents and to exhibit the world’s longest shark bridge, a V-shaped rope suspension bridge just inches over a shark tank.
