Scientific Games has signed a contract extension with Tatts Lotteries in Australia, which will see the company continue to serve as the primary vendor to supply instant games, game design and marketing support.

The extension, which began in July 2013, lengthens the current contract term for NSW Lotteries and Golden Casket to December 2014 and includes two one-year extension options held by Tatts Lotteries.
According to Bill Thorburn, chief operating officer at Tatts Lotteries, the move will allow the company to continue to offer lottery players in Australia some of the most innovative instant games available.
“Given the changing needs of the lottery consumer, we are focused on continuing to grow our Instant Scratch-Its brand by leveraging the marketing, analysis and planning of game portfolios to fully engage our loyal base of players as well as the next generation of players,” Thorburn said.
Tatts, one of the world’s oldest, continuous private lottery operators, has been operating lotteries under licence from Australia’s Victorian government. It now operates lotteries in the Australian states and territories of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory.
