An arcade bar is set to open its doors in Illinois, US, replacing a former nightclub.

Named Rec Haus, it is designed to be a late-night entertainment spot, which will feature arcade and leisure games, as well as self-service craft beer.
Located in St Charles, the arcade will feature a mixture of retro and modern games, while guests will also be able to play darts and billiards, as well as a unique “Putter Pong” game.
It will be owned and operated by Erik Gilly, who has previously worked at Bandai Namco and is currently senior director of North American Sales at Stern Pinball.
Rec Haus plans to serve food, with the menu made up of pizzas, paninis and soft pretzels.
The arcade will take over the lease on the building at the beginning of August, while renovations should be complete by the start of October, reports Shaw Local News Network.
Families will be welcome during the day, before it transforms into a 21-and-older venue from 9pm.
