Police in Panyu, China, have stepped up the patrol of the Startoon City industrial manufacturing zone, carrying out several inspections to ensure everything is legal and above board.
With the assistance of the Guangzhou Animation and Game Association and administrative offices for industry and commerce, law enforcement of the area has been increased in order to make sure operators are well aware of the standard legal requirements.
Law enforcement officers have pointed out where the operating irregularities are currently occurring such as incorrect product marking and a lack of business licences. It was also made clear that arcade games which pay out coins or have a lottery element are prohibited.
Businesses have now been given a deadline to bring their locations up to standard and follow the set requirements put in place by law enforcement officials.
