Funtown Splashtown USA, located in the city of Saco, has unveiled a new dark ride attraction for 2023.
After a lengthy construction period, the Haunted Hotel has taken over the former Fun Factory Arcade space, having been a different haunted house attraction a number of years ago.
Local resident Chris Dodge told Only In Your State: "Funtown/Splashtown is Maine’s favourite theme park and a place that is filled with great childhood memories for most of us.
The unique, interactive new attraction is said to be family-friendly, which Dodge notes is in contrast with the park's original "hair-raising" haunted attraction. Braver guests will have the opportunity to interact with occupants of Haunted Hotel during the ride.
