A new three-storey go-kart track is to open at a family amusement park in Clinton Township, Michigan, US.

CJ Barrymore’s will include the updated attraction when it opens for the season on May 3.
The Indy SkyTrack is a 30ft tall spiral track that was built over the winter on top of an old karting track, reports the Macomb Daily. Top speeds for the karts will be up to 20mph, while up to 30 riders will be able to race at any one time.
Around $3m has been invested in creating the new attraction, according to the venue’s vice president, David Dalpizzol.
Construction began in September 2023 and the new attraction will help the park celebrate its 50th year of operation this year.
CJ Barrymore’s also includes a Ferris wheel, drop towers, arcade and a bowling attraction.
To celebrate the opening of the new track, fifty contest winners have been chosen to ride it before it officially opens.
