Sound Leisure has unveiled a new version of its Captivator-360 featuring a 46in professional-grade NEC screen, which includes a three-year warranty and 24-hour onsite replacement.

Captivator Captivator

The unique Captivator housing discreetly hides an Xbox 360 games console, Kinect sensor and associated cables and equipment securely behind any large format screen. This removes the need for any pre fabrication or cable extensions as Captivator simply bolts to the wall with the screen then attaching to the housing.

“Our patented Captivator-360 housing is a unique and unobtrusive solution which enables customers to bring free to play, controller free social gaming to any venue in a simple, cost effective way,” said Sound Leisure director Mike Black. “All the venue needs is a mains socket, a wall and some space to play.“

In the UK, Sound Leisure has already started to roll out the Captivator into Greene King sites and the first units will be installed in Stonegate’s Scream sites shortly. The company created the Captivator solution, which will be sold through its SLKids division, in direct response to ongoing discussions with leading retailers who are eager to introduce new concepts to venues.

SLKids' Nick Chandler said: “Over the past 12 months the growth of the SLKids division of Sound Leisure has been amazing, especially given the general trading conditions. We believe the addition of the NEC screen with a comprehensive onsite warranty will really appeal to our customers, who now more than ever, are looking for long term value with hardware purchases.”
